• Account Information: Name, email address, and sign-in method (from Google OAuth or other sign-in methods). Authentication is handled by our identity provider; we never see or store your password.
• Profile Information: Voluntary onboarding and profile responses including school, graduation year, major, coursework, skills, target industries and companies, uploaded resumes and documents, saved roles, application records, networking contacts and the outreach you draft or log, and interview practice answers including any audio you record.
• Usage Information: Device data, session activity, and interactions with AI tools.
• Payment Information: Processed securely by third-party payment providers; we do not store card details.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized internship recruiting guidance and recommendations.
• Improve our algorithms and product experience.
• Match you with high quality internship help from third-party InternMax partners.
• Communicate with you about updates or offers (you may opt out).
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

• We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the Service, including authentication, hosting, database, payment, and AI model providers. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements, and our AI providers are prohibited from using your content to train their models.
• Voluntary profile responses may be shared with InternMax partners such as recruiters and independent career advisors for matching users with high quality offers and services.
• Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for analytics and research purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain user data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time to remove your data.

5. Security

InternMax uses encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your data. Access to your records is enforced at the database level and tied to your authenticated user id, so one student’s data is not reachable from another’s session. However, no system is fully secure; use the Service at your own risk.

6. Children’s Privacy

InternMax is built for college students and complies with COPPA. You must be at least 16 to use the Service, and users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children without consent.

7. Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to your data.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Opt out of marketing emails.

8. International Users

If you access InternMax from outside the U.S., note that your data may be processed and stored in the United States.
